I finally got a car to work with and measure. I considered my traditional ducts (not much room, heat exchangers in the way of fresh air) Lower A arm ducts (not much of a way to attach them reliably, a lot of steering lock to contend with) Fans (expensive but very possible under the strut and over the ball joint) and just enhancing the factory ducts in the splash pan.
I made some fins that add a bit of width and height to the slots. Easy to attach, cheap to buy. They’re a bit of a chore to imagine but I’ll give it a try. The green lines show the location of the factory duct slot. The one hole in the existing duct lines up with a screw that’s already there. The other two holes need to be drilled and fitted.
The first tests were super positive. As usual, if you haven’t heard about these from friends, they are saving them for themselves. $60
