  1. Hey there, I’d love to buy a set of lower control arm ducts for a 2017 BRZ.

Had a set on my 05 STi and they worked great, looking forward to getting some for the BRZ.

    Thanks!

      • Hi Randy, really? Woaw thats much, ordered stuff from Japan the other day – that was 20$. Anyway – how do we proceed the buy? + What do I need other than the ducts? I guess screws etc. wont be included.

        • All the mounting items are included.
Drill bit, tap, screws and wrench.

You’ll need a tube to get the air to the duct and away to attach the tube at the facia.
I’ve used a plastic funnel and cut it to fit.

RooDucts were developed to get air to the brakes past the choke point of the frame rail and the arc of the wheel…

Paypal has worked well to complete purchases.

          Thanks!

  2. Randy, I need a duct for my ’12 WRX. I’m running 3″ duct from the fog light position to a custom built backing plate on the hub. Want to replace the portion being hit by the tire at full lock. So 3″ into and out of the PVC Roo Duct

  3. Looking for a brake duct fan for a generic setup. How many CFM can your fan kit product. Looking for about 500-600 cfm and under 15 amps. 3 inch duct would need to be attached to each side of the fan. I could do a 4 inch on the inlet and 3 inch on the outlet. Thanks.

  4. Looking for cooling solution for 2015 STI. Using Castrol SRF and still boiling the fluid.Removed my dust shield years ago.

  5. Want to buy a set of ducts for 2007 WRX sedan, with OEM washer fluid reservoir still in place so looking for the “low intake” left duct that loops around it. Planning on running a hose from foglight covers to the ducts themselves

Live in Canada but prefer shipping to USA parcel receiver in Point Roberts, Washington.

  6. Hello, I am looking for brake air ducts for my 2016 Subaru WRX STi Limited. Do you have a set for cooling the rotors? Do you have a set to cool the calipers?

    • Hi Matt,
If your engine has the oil filter up on top, the exhaust routing is in the way of the traditional ducts that feed air to the inside of the wheel.
Either way, the LCA ducts feed air to the calipers and fit the aluminum arms on all cars.

  7. Hi!
I’m interested by the Gd lower control arm air duct!

Can you shoot me the price including shipping to Canada, J3N 1E4 please!

  8. Hello,

I am interested in your brake ducts for my 04 Subaru STI. Is the air intake side (from bumper to duct) 3 inches?

Could I get a quote for both the standard and fan ducts please?

  9. Hi, im interested in a pair of your LCA Ducts for a GR STi with Aluminium control arms. Shipping to Germany.
    Thank you

  10. Hi, I am interested in a set of ducts for a 2003 WRX with STi aluminum control arms. Car will be used for track days. Located in North Carolina

  11. Hi,

I have an STI ’06 that I use for track days and rallyeX. I plan on installing the cooling solution on tarmac events and remove it when on gravel/snow. This is up in Canada.

    Thanks!

    • Hi,
      I have two ducts,
The traditional that gets air from the foglight.
It is pretty well protected and once mounted, not too hard to take off and on.
I have a version that goes under the 06/07 washer bottle and a straight one.
      $195
There’s also the LCA duct that goes under the car and is really easy to take on and off.
      $125
      The trad works better.
      They work great together.
Shipping is $55 for either but together ship at the same price to CAN.

    • Hi Marco,
I have regular ones and one with a low inlet on the LH side for the big water bottle (’06-’07).
      They’re $195
I used to just take them to Ft Erie.
      priority express is 55
      priority 41
      1st class 21

  12. Hi,

  13. Good morning,
Would like to purchase the Subaru Facia Lower Slit Hose Adapter and the ABS RooDucts for all Subaru Imprezas and Forester from 1993 to 2007.

  14. Hello !

Im driving a 2005 subaru WRX STI. But im driving with Frontmount IC. So I would like to try the aluminum Lower Control Arm Duct.

Can you ship to the Netherlands ?

    Please contact me 🙂

    • Hi Steve,
The ducts are $95 but shipping to AUS is $55.
I can save a little by going 1st class but there’s no tracking and no insurance.
      Paypal works good for this.
      Thanks!

  15. Please contact me about your products for 05 Impreza STi’s.
Looking for different duct options and more info about the blower fan product.
    Thanks!

    • I’ll start with the least expense, least effective, the LCA duct.
Easy to take on and off, but could get hit on some trailer ramps,
the duct directs air at the caliper and could be enough for tracks without too much brake stress.

The traditional duct directs air into the wheel, is fed from the fog light hole
(some use the lower eyebrows on the RS facia) and is well out of the way and needs little effort once installed.
It will cool well for most tracks.

The LCA and Traditional together approach the ability of the fan ducts for $320 rather than $750.

I haven’t found a track that the fan ducts fail at.
Our test track boils fluid on stock Brembo’s with pads and fluid in three laps.
      Boils AP’s in 4.
The fans allow a full tank of gas to be used with no change in brake performance, hammering on them every corner.
They’re expensive and take some effort to install.
Wires need to get strung and a three position switch installed inside the cabin.
They has a slow speed for cool down, off and run.

  16. The page for the Subaru AL control arm ducts appears to be the same page as the GD ducts. I may be interested in both options, but I’d like to see the differences before I purchase them.

    Thanks!

    • The traditional ones are harder to mount but need next to no effort once on. They also perform better.
The A-Arm ones are easy to mount but may need to be removed to keep from being damaged by trailer ramps or road kill.

  17. Hi, I’m looking for maximum cooling on my usdm 2005 STi front brakes. It is mostly used on track (sees about 3000 miles a year on the streets). My home track is Road America in Elkhart Lake, WI and is very fast. I need something that can hold up to 160mph and help me get brake temps down! Looking forward to hearing from you.

    • In order, Fans, Standard Ducts, LCA Ducts. The standard plus LCA in some cases will do almost as much as the fans. The long straights at Road America may make that choice the best/cheapest.

  18. Hey Randy,

I’m looking for a set of BRZ lower control arms ducts ASAP for a track day coming. =)

  19. Randy,

P.S. used your kit on my GD sti for years – was great.

  20. Hey Randy,

I have a STi Sport bumper on my GC and wanted a duct made up to fit the corner opening for a 3″ hose connection. It’s a pretty confined space however. Can you help? Thanks!

  21. Hello!

I’m looking to pickup a set of these for my 16′ STi. I have heard horror stories of them melting on track…any preventative measures you’ve seen work well?

    Thanks!

    • Thanks for taking the effort to ask.
My first question is, is this story about the ducts in general or the ’16’s?

If in general, here’s the story.

The ducts have been out there since 2010, first in carbon and in November 2011, the first ABS ducts went out.
They have been constantly updated, because with 3D over molds, they can.
Anyone who has sent me a damaged duct, in any way, has received a new one for free.
The only people who have paid for a replacement wanted to because they felt responsible even though I offered free ones.

I welcome the failures because that’s how I learn.
A fellow in Texas claims over 600 HP and we went through four ducts before we got them to hold up.
That insulation has been on every duct since.

A few months ago, I started a new process with a new formulation.
I’m not publicizing that method until all my old stock is gone but the layer adhesion and heat resistance is much better.

If the melted ducts in the stories are ’15 and newer, a customer asked for a change,
I did it, and they were too close to the exhaust so I sent him the original design to replace it with no follow-up report yet.

The bottom line is that I can’t respond unless I know.

The last old style duct is, as luck would have it, a ’16.
As long as you’re in the US, I’ll sell you that pair for $110 shipped.
If they melt, I’ll replace them with the new style for free.
If they melt, we’ll work to get them to live as long as your engine/turbo aren’t drinking oil and raising the exhaust temp through the roof.

  22. I’d wish to order BRZ/FRS Lower Control Arm Duct with shipping to Latvia. How/where should i communicate my address details to get invoice?

      Thanks for your interest.
I’ve been sending overseas using priority mail at $55us

  25. What’s the shipping cost of a set of 2008 STI ducts to Toronto (M4J 3Z7)? Are there any vendors in Toronto that carry stock? I may be in Buffalo, NY next week as well so I could pick them up there as well if that is a cheaper shipping option

  26. For the new GD LCA ducts, do they fit 2004 JDM WRX STI? I am interested in them but I am in Thailand. Can you estimate the shipping cost?

  27. Hi mate

My friend and I are keen on a set each of the NEW gd control arm mount ducts shipped to Australia

Any chance of a package deal when combining orders?

    Cheers
    Matt

  28. Hello there,
I would like to ask if I can purchase a pair of brake hose ducts for the Mazda RX7 FD?
Shipping to the United Kingdom appreciated.

    Many thanks!

  29. I’m interested in your roo ducts for my 2015 WRX. I’m running a custom BBK with wilwood 6 pots and a 332mm rotor (similar to STI brembos in form factor) so I’d also like some additional details about how it mounts to make sure this will fit my car still.

    • Great! I finally got enough feedback and personal experience to be sure these work almost as well as the passive ducts. They are more vulnerable to road trash but are super easy to remove and replace.

  30. Hello,
My name is Tyler, and I own a Seven Automotive, a Subaru performance shop located in Ontario Canada. I have been trying to purchase your products through your local distributor (no names will be mentioned) with no success. I have attempted to purchase for customers and for my own vehicle.

Your local supplier will not respond to me but has sold to my customers. He has not responded to my email regarding purchasing for my own vehicle and I cannot purchase them directly from his website as they are not listed.

Please help me buy your fantastic products!!

  31. How are those with a 2015+ bumper getting air in? Is everyone just cutting out the fake inlet by the fog light and fabricating something to the inlet of the rooduct? Recommendations?

  32. Hi Randy, looking for a pair of fan assist ducts for a 2008 STI, can you give me a price for these.

Once I have the price I will guess that shipping is 55 bucks, so will add that to the price and get my PayPal ready!

    Thanks
    Alex

  33. Hey mate after some of your ducts for my Subaru track car over here in nz so will need a shipping price to thanks mate product looks amazing just whet I need

  35. I’d like some info on product choice you offer for my o7 wrx wagon.
Do you wire relays in for power control circuit?
Do your fans flow enough air to help draw air from under engine area ,to help aero downforce?thanks.
    Thanks . In socal

    • Hi Pete, The fans do not use any existing factory wiring, it is completely stand-alone, attached to the battery.
NASCAR does get some downforce but use six fans to do it.

  36. Hi

  37. I am looking to purchase Rooducts for my 2015 wrx 6spd. I am also curious if you have a blower to go with that system that would fit, and what the cost would be.
    Thank you!

  38. Hi, Im after a pair of roo ducts for a 98 STI with Gold Brembos. Also need shipping to Auckland, New Zealand 1010. Cheers, Michael

  39. I have a 2002 subaru wrx I’m just trying to get a price for the rooduct and hoses and brake mount brackets, i already have the fog light brake ducts just need the rest! Thanks!

  40. My friend had your beautiful product on his STi for brake cooling. The low profile ABS plastic duct to connect hoses to on bumper end, and then to the rotor backing plate. The BMW E9x M3’s inexplicably came with ZERO ducting from the factory…something that the previous E36 and E46 had. Given the weight of the E9x M3s…brake cooling is really a must and currently there is very little aftermarket support for cooling solutions. If you guys made a hard duct like the one for the STi, I am sure you would almost have the entire E9x market. Presently one other company sells a complete kit, but it does not utilize a design like yours where the ABS plastic changes shape to maintain needed tire clearance. With what is available, crushed hoses ensue. Please do some poking around and consider bringing a product to the E9x market! As these cars get cheaper and age more, it will become a more popular track car, so the need for cooling will only grow. Thanks.

    • Also there was a really cool plastic piece I saw which could easily connect to the Jdm fog light covers. I would love to get that as well, thanks again

      • Hi Joel,
The 2005 ducts are in stock and ready to ship, they’re $195.
The other part I think you mean are the adapters for the small slit, not the fogs.
